Fluctuation between overload and fascination, there is beauty and fear, blended into a noise. People invent sign language, mathematics, logic, belief systems and think they can describe the world with them. My paintings draw on these systems to expand them, to break them, to escape from them, to rethink them. Layers overlap and interlock. What began as an explanation fails due to the complexity of the world. It's not about surrendering, it's about embracing my apathy.
